Hi All, just arrived in Argentiere this evening. Any info on routes or conditions the last couple of days, please?

Thanks Mark, saw that. 4-5 days ago, and 0'c isotherm is running at c.4000m, with daytime temps at the midi of +5'c.

A quick note about new car parking charges at Vallorcine and Le Buet car parks. This year you have to pay to park here, at machines which aren't very visible ('Horodateur' sign). Pay and its free for 2 hours, €3 for 5 hours, €5 per day, don't pay and they may issue a parking ticket for €15.

Mainly affects those accessing the Vallorcine crag or Berard valley, or the Vallorcine telecabine to reduce ascent going to the Albert Premier refuge. The lifts up from Le Tour are closed all this summer, but the cheapest way to the Albert Prem is to walk up the moraine path from Le Tour.
