I've got a big 6 man vango tent that I've had for a few years and the front zip has given up. The whole tent probably doesnt have loads of life left, but I think it's still worth fixing at the moment. Does anyone have a recommendation for a tent repairer in SW London?

If you can find a good normal seamstress they may be able to do it as it's not that different to changing a zip on a jacket. you could then seal or tape the seam yourself afterwards although this isn't always necessary.
I may do that. I found a place online that does repairs nearby, but based on his quote of £5.50/ft +VAT I reckon it'll be around £50, which is probably quite a chunk of what the tent is worth. Seamstress seems like a good call - I'll look into it.
In reply to iccy: how essential is it that you use that zip? i.e can you use just one side of the zip if its a flap, or could you just ignore it and use another entrance?
If possible, just cover it inside with some good old duct tape / gaffer tape and leave it as it is
