Which shop has the best/largest range of climbing equipment? Are there any stores that stock nothing but climbing gear?

I think the one in Yosemite is probably the best one i've been in, although it did sell other things too i'm afraid.

In reply to Flatus Vetus: Rock On shops stock climbing gear and climbing clothing. There's only a few dotted around though.

The Au Vieux Campeur climbing shop in Rue de Écoles in Paris. 3 floors of nothing but climbing equipment (mountaineering clothing just down the road). absolute paradise for gear lovers.

I think "kit density" probably goes to Needlesports. Huge range in a shop the size of a shoe.

Barabes in Benasque is the only place I've been which might compare but that also has a lot of clothing, books, etc while AVC on Rue des Ecoles is climbing with just a little caving now the ski mountaineering has moved elsewhere (or has it come back, not been there for a few months)

Been to both the Yosemite shop and the Paris shop earlier mentioned, both are really good. I came across an aladdins cave in NYC about 4 years back, I cant remember what it was called but it was wall to wall climbing gear. There are 2 shop's here in Oslo which are pretty good, but WAY too expensive.

There's Snell camping(or climbing, can't remember which one) in Chamonix. That's pretty intense. Sells more or less everything.

In reply to Flatus Vetus: Needle Sports, V12 Outdoor, Outside, Joe Brown's... I've bought stuff from all of them over the years; it's hard to say which has the "best" or "largest" range, but unless you are fixed on a particular brand (or shopping around online for price reasons) then you can find everything you need at any one of them. There are probably others as well!
