My partner Lauren has a business repairing outdoor kit. Search for ‘ironkeld’ on instagram if you’d like to see some of her work. We live in Kendal, but kit can be posted.
She used to do the repairs at Alpkit in Hathersage before setting up on her own. She's done done repairs on various trousers and jackets for various people in our family, including zips.
Mountaineering Designs in/near Cumbria used to make their own down jackets for a while, before deciding the impression of competing with outdoor companies who might suggest them for cleaning and repair services wasn't a good thing I got the impression. They've been around since 1972. It seems they have a business relationship with Mountain Equipment similar to the one Rab had with Franklins cleaners in Sheffield.
The zip might fine, just the puller is worn or opening up. Try squeezing it with pliers a little to narrow it. Next written on them is a little one or two digits size code. Plenty available online or in some shops.
For jacket zips etc that don't require anything fancy like waterproof zips, see if you can find a local alterations place. I've used one where I live and they've done an excellent job at less than half the price of a specialist outdoor equipment repairer.
