Saw an Osprey at Tremadog on Thursday - first one I've seen in Wales

I think one is a "baby".

One time in the lakes I came across a family of ravens. The young ones voices hadn't broken so they were emitting high pitched Cronk's, hilarious.

or ritual courtship food passing between adults; do ravens mate for life ??

In reply to Tig44:

Probably one of the Gaslyn ospreys. If you go to the visitor centre between Beddgelert and Tremadog you can watch them on the nest through their telescope

I was wondering that too. I've seen robins pass food to mates.

And, yes, they pair for life.

Heard but unseen, Ring Ousel on Raven Crag, Borrowdale. But a Herring Gull attacking a Heron at Sty Head Tarn was something! Both last week.
