I'm not sure that the politicians of any side are interested in doing anything about it. Much easier to kowtow to the tabloids moaning about 'benefit cheats' etc.
In reply to Big Ger: Having had to deal with mental health problems, anything which affects disabled people strikes a chord now that I'm better and have some perspective on how I used to be. It's perhaps given me something of an affinity for people like those mentioned in the article, and for anybody affected by the cuts, because it's all disability in the end.
So I thought I'd draw attention to what's in my OP....

I'll probably laugh when the cu*ts have stopped targeting the disabled. It's horrible how the most vulnerable are currently being most affected by austerity.
