Recent musings about mid Wales walks and the practice of beating the bounds have led me to ponder what kind of walks some of them would make. There is the constraint of access for most but there's a few that are done regularly like Patterdale, Bingley and one in Snowdonia (can't remember which parish).
So what would be the toughest parish (or community if you're Welsh) to beat the bounds of? I'm thinking more about length, roughness, difficult navigation rather than walking through buildings or wading along the middle of a river.
