My friend makes little artwork/sculptures and sells them at craft fairs. My friend would like to make a website to sell these creations. The only problem is, we don't know how to create a website.
Is there a simple way to do this, or would it be better to sell on eBay?
Etsy might be exactly what you're looking for. I know of quite a few crafters who might have an Instagram profile or Facebook page (or both) to promote their wares, but all their selling is done via Etsy.
Unless you've got an decent idea of what to do, setting up a site with card processing facilities isn't as straight forward as you'd imagine. Probably best to use Etsy or similar as mentioned, and maybe have a simple portfolio site, instagram etc aside.
I've used Shopify a few times - always found it intuitive and although you do have to pay monthly for the service, you get unlimited 24/7 support (and loads of FAQ/Help docs online)
There's also BigCartel which was created to help small businesses sell online and their basic plan is free.
