Competition climbing is heading to the Tokyo Olympics and the BMC is looking for an outstanding individual to drive the development of our climbing competitions programme in the run-up to 2020.
It goes without saying that we’re looking for someone with a real passion and expert knowledge of indoor climbing and the competition scene. But as well as knowing your crimps from your volumes, you’ll be an exceptional team player with significant event organisation and management experience, either in sports or another relevant high-profile sector.
You won’t be fazed by juggling multiple projects, sponsors and stakeholders, as you’ll be a super well-organised individual who is as happy working with route setters as standing in front of the camera talking to the media or briefing competitors, volunteers and supporters on the technicalities and regulations of competition events.
