Right, this is going to sound like a right daft question, but I was looking at a Spanish guide and next to a few of the routes it said "Autoproteccion". This was sometimes listed next to sport, but mostly trad routes so what exactly does it mean?
Presumably that you need to place protection yourself? So either a full trad route, or a sport route that might need supplementary gear?
Google Translate: 'Self Protection'
That's kinda what I figured, thanks. I tried the Google translate and must have done sommat wrong as it came up with sommat tha made no sense.
Just figured it's easier to find out now than when you're on the route.
