Moving up North to where the Bouldering and the Gritstone is tops!
A friend mentioned that a good base would be Royston Vasey. Does anyone know of a flat to rent? Also looking for a job, how easy would it be to find work that would fit in with regular climbing?

It's better to just change the inner tube and leave the patches and glue stuff until you get home. Frankly, it's a bit dumb cycling anywhere near Royston Vasey. The locals there view the local roads as for local people only and have seeded them with tacks to catch out strangers. You'll never leave without a puncture.

Forget Royston Vasey, there is a Swansea!

I think I'm Ok, a Barbara has replied saying she has a room spare as she is out most of the time driving a taxi. She says she likes climbers and can't wait for me to show her 'a sit down start'!

Ask Mayor Vaughn, he might be able to sort you out.

Hadfield, where it's set, is *really* like the TV place. It even has a Local Shop.

I'll have a word with Pauline, she might be able to get you something down at the takeaway burger place with Mickey.

Ps. Does anybody have a bottle of orange juice?

True fact, some of it is filmed outside my dad's house.

I've always seen it as more of a documentary than a comedy show.

We have a flat with a sofa bed, you'll have your own shower and WC...

...into which we do not pass solids.

Thanks for the offer of a room, but is it ok to bring my harness, rope, and a few friends? The other landlady seemed quite excited, especially when I mentioned mat and grigri. She said she liked foreign men!

“You’ll want a bag dear for all your climbing gear? What’s that, you’ve got your own bag, well is it in the book dear? What’s that, you came in already, on Monday, but it’s not in the book!”

Although filmed in Hadfield, I'd always understood it to be based on Alston.
