I've just had Philadelphia on toast. I prefer lemon curd though.

I like to have both loose and a ball in my bag. Feels like ball helps add weight in wind,

In reply to Mini Mansell:

I just use chunky loose

In reply to Mini Mansell:

I keep two balls in my bag

After 40 years of using chalk, by chance I switched to liquid chalk. During covid, Eden Rock in Carlisle went liquid chalk only. Never having used it before, I ended up never switching back. Even a long session at The Depot only needs one reapplication. Outdoors it doesn’t leave any trace, although I do carry a piece of chalk block for tick marks 😂😂

I added a small, but not too heavy stone, to combat windy conditions in the past.

All chalk is loose. Sometimes it just needs liberating; either by crushing a block or cutting open a ball.

A sharp knife is a useful tool for repairing chalk balls

Indoors, ball/s, because most walls ask for balls to avoid aggravating asthma. Possibly liquid chall worth a go in addition to ball, though don't use it myself.

Outdoors, a ball plus loose. The ball somehow helps get the chalk on your hands, in my view.

Minor but noticeable differences. Doubtful it will change your grade, though.
