Hey guys, I've been bouldering for around 6-7 months now and I want to start doing top-rope/lead climbing a bit rather than bouldering wondering how best to start? I can climb just not do harnesses, belaying etc properly. I would normally jump in the deep end but it's risky if I mess up.
I got awesome walls stoke normally so doing top-rope isn't an option where I go.
Fill out a profile with some details and put request in Lifts & Partners for someone to show you the ropes (apologies for lame wordplay). Or join local club & attend climbing meets to learn/find partners. Or hire instructor to teach you for day or two. Or book course at centre (eg PYB National Mountain Centre for Introduction to Leading type course. Or plough blindly on & learn/die quickly!!!! Nik
Go on facebook and look at kilnworxs, they are in burslem and have a belay buddies section, also try either stafford mountaineers via paul hy on here or congleton mountaineers but they only climb in summer the rest of the time they are indoors at either stockport or warrington awesome walls
