The brief is to design four banner adverts for climbing products from La Sportiva, Beal and Petzl using images from their websites and you can incorporate some of your own images.

"I'm a very keen climber and mountaineer, and try to climb up to 5 times a week if possible. I'm currently at university studying Mechanical Engineering. I also am very interested in photography, and would love to get a 5* picture on UKC in the future!"

The Spantik banner uses a Black Diamond image featuring their tools and I think Scarpa boots, not really ideal for a Petzl/LaSportiva ad.

I think the Spantik one is awful. Comments like 'the toughest places' are thought up by ad agencies that haven't got a clue. People who will be buying Spantiks will think of 'the toughest places as' quite normal!

Also the picture is not really relevant to the product. The Spantik is really a mountaineering boot rather than an icefall boot.

Any positive remarks or positive criticism, as opposed to "its awful" ?

Font on the bottom two are poor and look like afterthoughts.
Graphic balance on the Hirundos one is a bit off - it looks cluttered as a result.
Like the Elios one a lot - IMO its the best of the bunch.


PS is it not Miura VS, rather than Muira?
