“Skyler has taken dyno climbing somewhere it hasn't been before... to him it's not really a party trick for gym sessions or for laughs. Get this: He trains alongside the Denver Nuggets. His vertical leap is over 30" which is pretty good even by NBA standards...”

Is 30" a lot then?

In reply to Jack Geldard - Editor - UKC:

Have you seen Spinal Tap? "Your 12 `foot' model of Stone Henge was in danger of being stepped on by a dwarf"

If that Dyno's 30'' jug to jug I reckon it's easier static.
In reply to Paz:

I could have sworn I saw a clip on youtube of some basketball payer jumping five foot from a standing start.

Actually of course a vertical leap is measured from the difference between fingertip stretch on the floor and in the air, isn't it? So jumping five foot with legs tucked up is no indication.

I believe this dyno is 102' from jug to jug and was only achieved on the 76th day of trying, so it's probably quite hard.

It would undoubtedly be a mighty pisser if a static alternative were discovered, assuming that is that the problem wasn't simply an eliminate in the first place.

I hope the climbers from Brussels don't read this board. You'll get fined for not using metric!!!!

Repeated, and suggested new grade is 7b+.
And we though we were hard done by with the recent grit downgrades.

Contender for the biggest down grade ever considering Skyler suggester a tentative V13/8b grade!

In reply to krikoman: didn't know skyler had suggested any grade...
 Strife 03 Nov 2008
I heard that 8a.nu suggested a grade of 8C+ due to how long it took him.

In reply to Strife:

The true comedy is that 8a.nu DID suggest 8C+ as a grade based on a ludicrous idea that grades ahould be based on how long it takes to do something. They said that as this dyno took Sykeler Weak 70 odd days to do it would take anyone who isn't such a specialist even longer and is therefore 8C+.

Then some random bloke pisses it third go.........and on 8a.nu takes the grade of 8C+. It's very funny really.
