In reply to UKC News: Awesome to see this area getting some attention and that's 2 great climbs there this year ( http://www.alpinist.com/doc/web12w/newswire-monte-buckland ). I climbed a couple of new peaks in between Buckland and Giordano in 2000. The only way we could move around was to wade up rivers until we hit a rocky ridge to access the ground above the treeline. We saw torrent ducks swim straight up waterfalls, electric purple mushrooms and had foxes come to within a couple of metres just to see what we were. Amazing place.
