Hi,

I know that slate dries really quickly but was wondering if it takes longer because its a crack? Hopefully going to have a look at it this week but weather isn't looking great!

cheers,

Alex
In reply to a13x: I first climbed it in between showers.

If is is just slightly damp, I'd say in about as little as 45 minutes. However, after a full day of rain I think about 2-3 hours in bright sunshine or 4-6 hours in the dry with some wind.

When I did it, it pissed down the night before, we kicked around for the morning, waiting for the sun to come round and then did it after lunch and it was bone dry.

Surely only about 20 minutes of bright sunshine is all that's needed? It is slate after all
