I'm searching for information about public transport between Reus > Riglos and Zaragoza > Riglos.

Likely to arrive between mid-late October 2012.

Has anybody made this journey who can offer some advice?
Essentially looking for a cheap holiday alternative to the drive down to font & the flights are very reasonable.

CHEAP accomodation suggestions would also be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Milner,

Stop being cheap and hire a car- you'll want it for getting to the shops anyway as there's not much in Riglos in the way of supermarkets.

Camping is fine in the village, a nice spot at the far end if you drive on through. Otherwise there's a youth hostel type affair which is cheap and does food too.

Have you considered Siurana/Margalef? Closer to Reus and easy enough to hitch to cornudella de monstant for supplies.

In reply to Milnes: Grundy! Cheers for the advice. We're pretty skint and saving, so car hire probably a non starter.

Have considered other locations, but the draw of those towers is strong.

Thanks for the input.

In reply to Milnes: You can get to Ayerbe via Huesca, by rail, then you could possibly hitch, get a bus or cab.

Try http://www.viajar.com/trenes/spider.do or www.renfe.es for railway timetables.

I remember seeing links to Spanish bus timetables in a post here a while back, but can't find it. Have a search of the Forums.

In reply to Milnes: PS. there is a refuge in Riglos.

Have a look at this thread: http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?t=487094

If you can fly in and out of Zaragoza, it will be much easier to travel by rail.

There is a train station in Riglos, and quite a big refuge:

Riglos in November?
Is it going to be really unpleasant and cold? Snow??
Possible??

In reply to Milnes:

It's semi-arid around there so it'll probably be sunny and around 15-20 degrees during the day in Nov, but get quite chilly at night.
You'd be unlucky to get rain, very unlucky to get snow. But both are possible.
