Chamonix conditions on the Envers

heading out to Chamonix in a couple of weeks but theres still a lot of snow around . Our plan is to be based at the Envers hut and rock climb from there . anyone any info on conditions and if the routes are in condition or still snowed up . Thanks for any help.

Yeh, been there late in the evening, when a massive amount of snow/ice slid of the route we had just got down off, quite an eye opener!

In reply to walts4: ooh , not good , spoke to the guardian of the Envers hut this morning who said conditions cest bon , probably just wants peeps to go stay at the hut , maybe the rouge will be a better bet

In reply to Nadir khan: Don't know about that area of the massif Nadir, but generally there is a great deal of snow around (particularly in the higher mountains of course), much of it not really consolidated. So I suspect that it is probably not the best for high rock routes round the Envers.
