Can anyone tell me if there are any recognised areas around Port William, Dumfries and Galloway, that would be ok for a couple of hours bouldering? Thanks.

5 minutes up the A747 is Garheugh Point, http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=3724 , good varied bouldering in a lovely situation.

If you fancy something more frictional, the Rankin Boulder, http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=10361 , is 30 minutes away and also good.

Sounds like Very Bollox to me, this might be more useful: https://www.scottishclimbs.com/wiki/Garheugh_Point
