18 year-old Ellis Butler-Barker has just returned from El Chorro, Spain where he managed to tick off sixteen routes graded from 8a up to 8b in just six days, including an onsight of an 8b.
I remember an On the Edge article listing the exclusive UK 8 club (anyone climbing 8a and above). 8s seem to be trade routes for those with ability these days.
In reply to UKC News: Notice that in between the name of Ellis Butler barker on the screen shot of the latest ascents are two ascents, an 8a+ by a 55 and an 8a by an 53 year old. Fame at last for us old folk !!!
