Does anyone have any information on current climbing conditions on Aonach Mor east face? Might be optimistic but was hoping to get up there this weekend climbing grade III-IV classics - Left Twin, Morwind, White Shark, Jet Stream etc.

Cheers,

Mike

A couple of things to watch.

If its sunny it can warm up very quickly on Aonach Mor East face as its not protected from the sun late season (and you might well expect some rotted / detached / thin ice if it has been sunny.

If it does snow heavily the forecasted wind direction this weekend will probably load the corrie also.

Thanks for the quick reply! We're based in Fort William for 4 days Friday to Monday and are pretty open to going where conditions are best. Anything you would recommend given the recent weather and forecast for the next few days?

We were keen on getting on Tower Ridge but were concerned about the high winds forecast?

Thanks again,

Mike
