What are the cheapest options for flying to Mendoza?
Every way I look it comes out really pricey. (over £800 each way) For next December!

Are you planning on flying to mendoza? If so that's where you're going wrong. Fly to santiago de Chile instead. Buses to mendoza if you actually need to go there, if you're thinking of aconcagua then I doubt you actually need to.

Doing all the 7 Summits solo then? Good plan. .. that will be almost as impressive as conquering the notorious flying buttress at stanage. ...!

Fly to Buenos Aries then get the bus to Mendoza.

Cheapest route I found when I went to Argentina was Heathrow to São Paulo, São Paulo to Buenos Aries. I flew out on Christmas Day, which made it cheaper.

You can also fly to Buenos Aires via Madrid or Miami. The bus services in Argentina are great, well set up for mammoth overland journeys. I went from Buenos Aries to El Chalten, the first leg down the Atlantic coast to Rio Gallogos was 40 hours.

I have no experience of doing the journey from the Chilean side.
