The shortlist for the 2017 Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature has been announced. Amongst the six books shortlisted are four books by British publishers. 34 entries were submitted this year from Britain, the USA, Canada, Italy and France.
There are some excerpts and an interview with Bernadette McDonald, the author of The Art of Freedom, the biography of Voytek Kurtyka. Sounds like an interesting book.
Well done VP and all the other publishers of mountain literature... so many new good books at the moment that its a struggle to get them all read.... a bit of a golden age in climbing publishing.
