Good event and I like the fact they showed some independence and retained the 4+ rule. I don't like the knock out format of the final though. There's a lot of luck involved in bouldering which tends to even out the more boulder problems one does. The knockout format just increases the luck factor.

Overall a great event though. Seemed like the strongest climbers won. Don't know if that's a reflection on the routesetting or not. No slabs in this comp though.

I know what you mean about luck on the final speed climb superboulder or whatever they called it but the way the men's winner ran up their problem was pretty bloody breathtaking to watch, nevertheless!

Yeah he's an amazing climber to watch. Seems extremely powerful and climbs like an ape, swinging from one hold to the next, often doing hard moves, that stop other competitors, with relative ease.

That was a good bit of climbing telly. You really notice the difference between IFSC shoestring and adidas big budget.

I will say though, there were a lot of errors where they kept putting up the wrong name for the climber they were showing. Happened a comical amount.

All in all, I thought it was a great show, and I'm not trying to complain, just pointing out that I think IFSC makes an effort and does alright, for their circumstances.
