Scottish walker, bikepacker, author and broadcaster Cameron McNeish has been named the 2018 recipient of the Scottish Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture, which will be presented during the Fort William Mountain Festival later this month.
That's the Eastern end of Suilven, up in Assynt. Cameron is on the main summit.
Look forward to seeing Cameron get his award. I remember his Wilderness Walks series from the mid 1990s very well indeed. So well in fact that I could probably quote much of it still (recorded it off the telly and used to watch them regularly). His Ladhar Bheinn and An Teallach trips had a big impact on me.
