Andy mate, that was a brilliant interview, and SH came across really well.

one question, the tights you wear in the pics are the tights you wore to The Byron on wet winter Sunday nights...did you own any sensible trousers, because I never saw them?

Brilliant interview with one of the greatest climbers in history. The amount of hard stuff he's done, in different disciplines, is mind-boggling.

Totally agree.

Obviously Stevie has a 'bad boy' image. And yet he can be the most humble, the most soul-searching guy imaginable, with that wry, self-mocking grin. Long may he continue to fight the good fight.

Well done both and to UKC for providing time and space for this article, made me smile; the characters, the bravery, the sheer youth of it all in the 80's - mindblowingly competetive, adventurous and exciting times. Then the sheer joy and inspiration of seeing Stevie continueing to climb so well, marevellous stuff.
