Saw him post this up on social media, great achievement to get all that lot done in one go. I wonder how long before somebody else has a go and tries to knock the time down.

It's a tempter... Good snow conditions would make all the difference. I'd wager even a total middle-of-the-packer like me could chip away at that time on a good day. In some ways that makes this round more impressive. You know he had to fight through deep snow, navigate in darkness, traverse around snow obstacles (snowbstacles?) etc and doing it was more about the delight of a big day out rather than trying for a time.

Imressive stuff! Re records/FKTs etc. (different route in parts) Finlay W and Es T took a skimo approach a couple of springs ago  youtube.com/watch?v=Tx6ynV7rfMw&

I didn't know that. nice video. Thanks for sharing.

definitely more about the day. The experience is far more important than the time for me. I'd much rather a very slow but rewarding and challenging day, than wait for that elusive fast traverse on ideal neve, although this is a fine experience too.  Video now at youtube.com/watch?v=uty14bWpR1A&
