Really liked this. I spent time here in the 90's, and both the trees and rock faces in the Coast Range behind Powell River are amazing. Vast swathes of remote granite, as wild as you'll get anywhere - on a scale that's difficult for a visiting Brit to get their head around...  

And contrary to popular knowledge, there are still grizzlies in the quieter valleys (or at least there were back then).
