You've not said where you are starting.  Everywhere is drivable from somewhere, depends on where you're starting from.

Loads in Swanage/Portland/Devon.  The promenade? It’s not quite Forada but there’s overhanging stuff in that grade range all over the south coast.

Brean?

Cheedale in the southern Peak is a lot closer than Alicante.

Dancing Ledge

Short, powerful routes here

Empire of the Sun (7b) at Ansteys would have to be one of the best of the grade, and is steep and pumpy.

As Gazhbo has already suggested, The Promenade is the closest to Southampton and certainly one of the steepest in Dorset. Just around the corner is Palace of the Brine. Again, very steep, but with longer routes than the prom. Wait until the weather is better for both though.

Probably 3 hour drive for you but definitely worth a visit to the gower.

The Raven (7a+)

Jump The Sun (7a+)

Same crag and a beautiful setting.

Foxhole Is up the road for more steep. And also  Rhossili Beach

Have fun.

Cheddar has sport climbing, but not sure if it’s steep enough for what you want … perhaps others who’ve been there can comment.

Dare I recommend Ban Y Gor!

Used to climb there loads and loads. Never into the 7s but loved the high 6s. And belaying mates on Almost Me they'd highly recommend as a brilliant 7b
