For Albums I tend to go novelty. William Shatner's 'Shatner Claus' is always worth a laugh. You can tell when they opened the fizzy pop. Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas blasts through some classics.

Much as I personally prefer Jetho Tull's Christmas records or Ella Fitzgerald's 'Christmas Songs', I suspect the all time favourite might be Phil Spector's 'A Christmas Gift for You' with classics from the Ronettes such as Sleigh Ride & Frosty the Snowman.

Captain Beefheart: There Ain't no Santa Claus on the Evening Stage - it's even got sleigh bells at the start and Ho Ho Hoes at the end. Happy Xmas kiddies, I hope you've been good...

Bert Jansch did a nice Xmas record I think, otherwise maybe the Die Hard soundtrack.

Top tunes are a toss-up between the childhood favourite Shakin' Stevens "Merry Christmas Everyone" (I still have the 7" single I got for Christmas back in the '80s) and the more recent "Under the Tree" by Kelly Clarkson. 

I always break out Blackmore's Night' album "Winter Carols" at this time of year for a bit of medieval Christmas joy.
