Les Menuires to Maurienne Valley – is there a way by MTB?

We’re planning a point to point trip from Moutiers to Briancon in the summer – making use of as much uplift / ski lifts as possible (staying at refuges etc). We’ve hit a bit of a stumbling block when we get to Les Menuires as the Pointe de la Masse lift doesn’t allow bikes (at least the summer biking website says it’s excluded from the VTT pass as it’s not equipped for bikes) and we want to descend from the Pointe de la Masse down to .

Has anyone with local knowledge have any suggestions (e.g. any uplift companies likely to be able to drive up the ski roads with us + bikes)? Or other ways to get into the Maurienne Valley (St Michel de Maurienne specificially (tho if we ended up further up the road it’d not be the end of the world).

Never been over that side of the valley, apart from up the Col De Madelaine on a road bike and skiing in Val T but have you looked on Ride with GPS, Kamoot or Strava Heatmaps to see if there is any routes logged?

Yeah, trying to avoid having to ride up it! Ideally looking for an uplift or some combo of lifts we've missed.

Ah, OK, sorry, thought you were looking for routes across and down into the valley.

Can't help on the uplift front beyond what you already know, but an alternative option from Les Menuires is to head down to St Martin and then up the vallée des Encombres (possible to drive up here beyond Gittamelon to Caseblanche at 1800-ish m, so maybe options for a taxi/drop-off) to the Petit Col des Encombres where the green line starts on your image... then down via Beaune to St Michel. If you can get a lift up to Caseblanche the climbing would be not massively more than what you would do if you dropped off La Masse.
