The comments discussing whether the correct term is 'boulder problem' or just 'boulder' have been moved here

The boulder took Shauna a total of just two sessions to complete.

> Shauna's ascent is her fifth at 8B+, and her fourth 8B+ since the beginning of 2024. Only Isabelle Faus, Brooke Raboutou, Jana Švecová, and Katie Lamb have climbed more boulders at 8B+ and harder.

So which ones of Puccio's 10+ 8B+ ascents did you downgrade?

In reply to details:

My mistake, have updated that!

Is this going to end up like the, “what have the Romans ever done for us” sketch?

This is also a tough and excellent 7a+ boulder from a standing start.

Slightly back on topic, the most surprising thing about this is storey is that Shauna has been dropped by Adidas. I've no idea of their marketing strategy but I can't get my head around this, ok she may not be at the absolute cutting edge but she is still absolutely kicking ass on rock as well as producing regular high quality very accessible social media content that is both great to watch from a climbing perspective as well as having a wholesome lovlely family vibe. What's a person got to do these days?

That, along with James Pearson getting dropped by a major sponsor - he said this on the Jamcrack Podcast last year, I presume it was TNF although I'm not sure if he actually said, WC still seems to be a sponsor though - does seem well deserving of a separate thread.

If you call the cutting edge the top ~10 or so female climbers in the world at the mo I'd say she's well in there. She hasn't climbed 8C, but there are very few women out there regularly climbing 8B and 8B+.

Well said ..it's almost like you maintain lists on such things

Oh, and even more "well done Shauna".

In reply to Offwidth:

I'll in no way argue with Remus's definition, that was some poor phrasing on my part in an effort to to come up with the only justification I could think of for Adidas's decision.

As an aside, I had to get a neighbour to help me carry some plywood panels for a board a few weeks ago.  My neighbour has never climbed before in any way shape or form, but straight away said 'oh just like that Shauna Coxey' when he saw what I was building. It's hard to think of a British climber with a bigger profile.

I didn't realise Adidas had anything to do with climbing! Thought they were a basic sportswear brand like Nike.

They've owned Five Ten for well over a decade now. Their climbing stuff would mostly be under that branding rather than being explicitly Adidas.
