Solo trip - Scotland

Planning a wee trip up north (Based in Glasgow) and get a lot more done climbing alone. I have plenty of boulder mats and solo top rope experience but not sure where best to visit.
I probably have around 3 days to go and get some stuff done just waiting on a decent weather window.
Any recommendations/ suggestions would be appreciated.

I’d suggest being a bit more specific as to what you want to do. Walk? Bag hills? Trad? Sport? Bouldering? Drink? Might get a better response.

The bouldering at Torridon is the first thing that comes to mind but that requires the sandstone to be dry enough to climb on and the wind strong enough that it’s not midge hell.

Apologies

Boulder and Top rope soloing

Main goal of the trip is to get some more miles under the belt

The obvious next question is " how long is your rope?" 😆

And the one after that is "what grades are you climbing at?"

Still a bit vague. Do you mean time spent on rock, or miles travelled to venues? If not the latter, it's not far to Arrochar, Glen Croe would give you loads to go at.

A good suggestion, the OP will be able to boulder, highball, solo, top-rope, and just stare at the sea contemplating life the universe and everything. And it'll have fewer midges than inland outcrops?*

* a campsite may not though!

I'm heavily biased but I think it fits the bill on this occasion.

Gosh I’m sorry a really need to consider all these before posting 😅

I climb at around 6c/7a margin

Rope I have 70 metres 10mm thick (if that’s the next question after these)

Thanks nick

+1 for Reiff. The sandstone there is bullet hard (I'm talking _nothing_ like Northumberland), there are a huge number of short routes with flat landings and extremely short and easy descents and you can easily solo dozens of routes in a day without even rushing. The grades, lengths and route descriptions _should_ be enough to avoid getting yourself in trouble and if you do happen to break your ankles, it's pretty flat and easy ground to drag yourself over to the nearest house. If you want to do some sort of shunting type action with a rope, anchors at the top are easy to find. Finally, there is a strange weather microcosm where, because the peninsula is so low but backed by bigger mountains, you can often find it stays dry when just a few miles inland, it is raining.

70 metres gives loads of options.  Who can think of the best value mileage  route to do with that..

Old Man of Store has to be less than 200ft

Sounds like the car park and trolley attendant at Morrison's...
