Nah, it's pretty dull and boring for me. Like all of UKC's most recent April's Fools articles the last few years. Low effort, half‑baked, not really worth it. Which pretty much sums up the whole April's Fools industry, which had mostly devolved into marketingdroids of big companies trying to be "funny" and "clever" (which is about the same oxymoron as 'a big company's salesdroids being truthful', FFS).
I know that UKC is not a big media company, having recently parted with two of their very best writers (for unexplained reasons the writers themselves haven't bothered to clear up themselves, so I guess/hope it was amicable at the least – downsizing does happen after all, even if we might not like it).
But perhaps instead of really mediocre April's Fools articles that sound like LLM‑generated, it would have been better to put your remaining writers to actually creating original content? After all, apart from the community, original article content is still the main thing most of us come here for.
April's Fools is nowadays pretty much dead in the water. From being mostly misused as a big brand marketing campaign, to not being able to compete with the outright absurdities the Drumpf admin seems to shit out day after day, satire is pretty much dead. Even the Onion reads like a serious newspaper of record nowadays, as I can't seriously tell their satire is any different from what the Orange Wig One seriously proposed yesterday...
