Constructively, I know the fade out thing is supposed to create a bit of drama, but I think far too much of it in this instance, it made me feel a bit twitchy. Also, might be worth investing in some sort of frame to mount your camera (dSLR?)in, as there was a bit too much camera shake for my liking.
Good luck with the project though.
Great stuff (I agree the fade-outs are overkill). Hope it goes well for him. The comment "if the belayer is quick you should be alright" sounds like wishful thinking!
