The bent gates look almost straight. But yes...

There's no mention of bent gates in the narrative only straight so maybe there's a clue there somewhere!

Well the spec shows the top carabiner has a gate opening of 19mm and the bottom 21mm... no doubt they differ as the bottom one has a bent gate hence the wider opening...   plus this can clearly be seen if you look at them closely...

That question makes absolutely no sense. Ignoring the straight/bent problem, 'gate opening system'!? Don't all three types open in broadly the same way!?
