Hi, I've already posted on Facebook marketplace and in the UKC for sale forum, but I'm trying to sell a 6m x 7m ish wall and autobelays and with it being such a large, specialist 'item', wondered whether anyone knew anywhere else in particular that I should advertise it or anyone who might be interested.

Thanks

If I was in the market for a climbing wall the first place I would look is eBay.

Fair point. I haven't got round to that yet but was intending to. The only thing is, I need to actually decide a price to ask for there and I'm struggling to know what to ask really.

Do you just want to get rid of it? Do you _need_ to get rid of it? If so, the price is what someone is willing to pay, so put it up as an auction, sounds like it might be expensive, so worth paying for some sort of premium listing. Could put a reserve on it if you are prepared to hold onto it for a few weeks/months in the hope of getting a better price.

Honestly, if I had somewhere to put it, I'd definitely give you an offer... but sadly I don't own any buildings with a 7m high roof!

You don't mention the construction.

If it's friction-painted ply, I'd split it.  It'd be a long shot for someone to be looking for the same size and configuration; especially for a small wall.

If the autobelays have "full MOT history" then go to established walls and the manufacturer.  They know the value and might pick them up for swap-ins whilst theirs are being serviced.

That'd be the entry point to discussing the holds - walls always want stocks of new shapes.  make sure they're well dish-washered before you show them.

The ply panels have low value, despite being expensive to buy; partly because they'r enow full of holes.  The 10mm bolts are valuable - offer to climbing walls.

If it's shaped panels that are only configurable as you have them now, you're a bit screwed unless it's suitable for outdoors - scout camps, outdoor centres and fairgrounds.

I need to get rid of it because I don't have anywhere to store it other than a storage container I'm paying for and now I've procrastinated so long I can't afford to keep it but also could really do with at least making back to storage fees. 🙄

Thanks for the advice.

Yea, it's ply and a lot of the panels are odd shapes unfortunately.

Unfortunately I asked but wasn't able to get the inspection logs for the autobelays.

Where abouts are you based?

If you did choose to sell the autobelays separately, what would you want for all four?

Dunoon, in the West of Scotland.
