Women's Trad Festival is looking for leaders for our 6th Festival! Come and join us hosting our learners at Women's Trad Festival on 29th-31st July 2022. If you are an experienced trad climber with an RCI (SPA) level qualification or higher and are passionate about sharing your love of climbing by helping others learn, we'd love to have you join us this year!

Women's Trad Festival aims to be a personal, supportive and enjoyable learning environment. Leaders teach learners by taking them out to one of the excellent nearby grit crags in the Peak District to improve their skills and build their confidence throughout the weekend.

Leaders are supported and mentored by experienced MCI (MIA) instructors, who will offer personalised advice and mentorship at the crags and support on any safety concerns. They can also give advice around further professional development if desired. These mentors will be professionals in the industry and the majority will be women. We believe that this increased mentor presence better supports leaders, both at the festival and hopefully beyond it too! The feedback from last year was extremely positive and we are looking forward to another brilliant year of mentorship.

We are looking for leaders who are enthusiastic and passionate about sharing their love of climbing. Who have patience and understanding of different abilities and comfort zones, and are willing and able to create a supportive, fun and nurturing learning environment. It is also important that leaders are sensitive to this being a female-focused, yet widely inclusive event and that they are supportive of our inclusivity and are aligned with our aims and values (see womenstradfestival.co.uk).

As a leader, you'll get a free place at the festival, plus our amazing 'Nut Sack', a WTF2022 sustainable Rab tee and an engraved WTF2022 DMM carabiner. You'll get to come to talks, meet brands at the centre of the climbing world and be part of a gathering of awesome folk who work and play in the world of climbing.

Best of all, you'll meet other RCI's like yourselves, and will be mentored by one of our amazing MCI instructors for the weekend. This is a real opportunity to build connections, get advice and share experiences. It's a gathering of climbing instructors like no other we know of!

Come and help us to inspire and support the next generation of climbers to take their next climbing step, or perhaps see a way to step into climbing as a career. Come and share your love and passion for trad climbing with a new and diverse group of people. It's a whole lot of fun. We'd love to see you there!
