This survey is being conducted by the Outdoor Industries Association in order to find out more about how and why people participate in Outdoor Activities, as well as the reasons behind why others don't.

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, will be held by OIA for market research analysis purposes only and will not be shared with any third parties.

As a thank you for taking part today we will enter you into a free prize draw, giving you an opportunity to win one of the following: 

  • one of 2 Vango Havoc 200 tents
  • a Berghaus men’s Popena insulated jacket
  • a Berghaus women’s Thunder waterproof jacket
  • a residential weekend for two at Plas y Brenin, National Mountain Sports Centre

I would advise anyone thinking of completing this survey that it takes a very long time and has many...many fields to complete. I got to the six page and gave up. Obviously put together by someone who doesn't understand surveys :) There may be some great prizes on offer, but they're def making us work for them

Yes, it does take a while to fill out, especially if you do a lot of different outdoor sports. But please persevere if you can. I think it took me about 10 minutes in all. The information is very useful for the OIA and it is great to show what an active and involved group climbers are. Also, the deadline has now been bumped on to 1st November so plenty of time to fill it in. Thanks Alan

Thanks Alan. I persevered and finished off the survey as best I could today. It saved my last entries from yesterday too so not too bad.
