Rockfax Description
This big right-to-left traverse is poised above the lip of the cave, and is similar to Mariner's Graveyard. It is possible at any tide, and in rough seas for added adrenaline. Prusiks are advisable for both leader and second.
1) 7b, 25m. The rail to a belay on small ledge - very pumpy.
2) 6a, 12m. Continue to a belay on the far side of the cave. This pitch has suffered a rockfall but a lower line is climbable if you clip the first 3 or 4 bolts and down climb 1.5m, to a lower horizontal break. This makes it a little bold to second but isn't hard. Escape via an easy wall on the left or continue across Mariner's Graveyard if you aren't too pumped. © Rockfax
