Rockfax Description
26m. A big scary pitch weaving its way up the wall - low in the grade but quite harrowing. Climb to the top of the flake then traverse right (old peg) to a crack which leads to a rattly traverse back left to reach the upper crack. The direct link is Short Circuit - E3 5c, high in the grade and it is even more terrifying. © Rockfax

Felt really fun climbing this after seconding Barrie on it last time. Feels fairly low in the grade but does have some fairly scaryish moves. Didn't get pumped. Had a shouting match with some kids at the top who had decided to chuck some big rocks over the edge!!!!

I've climbed Short Circuit before so can't really claim an onsight as this only has about 10' of independent (easier) climbing. Felt about E1 but I probably just got lucky. Best route of the crag probably.

Almost 6 years to the day since I last climbed this (21st August 2010). Felt good, easier than I remember but wouldn't like to test the pegs, steep and pumpy finish.

Easy E2? This venue a bit overgraded? Or just a friendly crag for plastic pullers? So many questions.

Awesome route and my first E3. Committing moves throughout but with decent enough gear! Got pretty pumped by the time I got to the final crack. I had to tell myself to chill and shake out before making the final moves to top out!

What a faff! It was a bit wet so I was taking a cautious approach anyway and spending time getting good gear in. Then I ran out of quick draws so I hauled some up on one rope from the hands-off rest - sorry to keep you waiting Moritz! Great route with moves that feel committing but are never too hard.

Really classy route with a few committing moves, definitely worth the effort. E2 in my opinion, but gets the 5c badge if just for the crux. Top out was interesting and rather strenuous, I was half convinced the big rectangle at the top was going to shift when I pulled on it.

Fun route, varied moves, first half is easy, mostly 5a climbing though spaced gear and a spooky flake to start (best started up the front of the flake), top half has one thin move near pegs then a lovely steep crack to finish. E2 5c seems fair and low in grade due to sport like nature of crux!

tebs 23/Jun/12 Lead O/S

Led after belaying Chad on it earlier. Really enjoyable route. E2 5c seems fair, the gear seemed bomber to me, although the big flake at the start is scarily detached. The rest is classy wall climbing on good positive holds with a definite crux 2/3 of the way up.

On Si's gear, which was spaced but bomber. Great route with a well protected, crimpy crux followed by a gradual pump to the top. Possibly E2 in its current state but imagine it could feel E3 with just the shite peg.

Spooky in the damp conditions, but a great climb and good pro - just a bit spaced here and there!

Good route, low in the grade, probably E3 only just because of the snappy rock. John pulled off the left hand sidepull on the crux (just above the pegs) although it is still useable. Good steep upper section, good gear i thought.
