Led Y Crack and the pitch to the bottom of the Layback crack. Really good route, very enjoyable.

Great route but easy in the grade. The pitches when good are great but not a sustained classic as too many scrambling sections. Quite easy to wander off route if you don't pay attention.

A quality, quality route. Y cracks are top end 5a but very short lived difficulty. I agree with Beds that finishing up the grassy rake would short change you. The final pitches up the walls and grooves above give a spectacular finish and further nice climbing.

Great day, climbed as a 3. Climbed two at once on easy lead through sections. I led S crack Col Y-which was thuggier...but S wasn't a push over. Lovely positions-4 hours from bottom slabs (which i'm told usually gets by passed but we wanted to do them) to summit. Copping out and going up easy grassy rake at 3/4 is not the full route in my opinion, head right onto slabs and up chimney.

Lovely rock, variety of styles on one route, and fab weather! Scrambled bottom two pitches unroped. Led the Y Crack (strenuous but not bad - requires a jam at one point and general bouldering fitness!) and the Layback Crack (laybacking its full height with a couple of Friend 3s and a Friend 4).

What an adventure! 11.5 hours car to car, great climbing, the ungraded pitches weren't exactly a stroll. 12pitches all the way to the top, including the final pinnacle, some very exposed climbing towards the top, and some horrendous rope drag on lots of the longer pitches. 5a pitch was tough, lots of jamming thuggery and lost skin! Walked out in the dark.

Well a very exciting trip! After finding out we had to book the car onto the ferry 30 minutes before we left, we made the decision to go on as foot passengers. Luckily the landlord of the Brodick Bar (recommended for food and beer!) gave us a lift to Glen Rosa! Started to hike in and got to the split in the river before we bedded down for the night. Hiked further up before starting and did it rather quickly in about 2.5 hrs. Fantastic climb!

Led 1, 3, 5 (placed the gear and down climbed to send Mike up the Y-crack - I can't jam!), layback crack, 9. Fell off Y-Crack after getting pumped out my mind. Tried again but my arms weren't having it so I handed over to Jeff...

Rained heavily all day, s crack was lovely and the y crack was interesting in the wet, lovely little heel hook into a rock over whilst holding onto a slippery sloper and a hand jam

Not my best climb, but excellent route all the same. Flashed the 'S' crack, but peeled off the 'Y' crack after 5 attempts. Landed on one of my ropes luckily, as Davina was busy enjoying the view down Glen Rosa; no idea I'd come off... The traverse out on to the wall after the 'uncomfortable corner' is certainly interesting...
