Reason: Nesting Birds
High Tor is a SSSI of extremely high botanical value with some very rare grasses and plants located around the crag. Climbers are requested to be especially careful not to trample grass at the base of the crag and to stick to the established paths so as not to damage plants on the wooded approaches.
Rockfax Description
One of the early eliminates that covers some impressive ground especially on the second pitch.
1) 6b, 25m. Climb the groove left of Robert Brown. From a peg, trend left (bold) to the break. Make a sustained sequence over the bulge to a rest then traverse left to the Lyme Cryme belay.
2) 6b, 33m. Follow Brown Donkeys to the bong then continue to the twin bolts above and right. Desperate moves upwards (avoiding the easier detour up the flake on the right) enable you to reach the roof (peg). Finish more easily above. © Rockfax
