Alexander Huber has successfully made the first free ascent of "Voie Petit" on the Grand Capucin, Mont Blanc. After numerous attempts, Alex freed all piches in one go in one day on 27 July. He graded the 300m route 8b, with the hardest pitches being 8b, 8a and 7c+. Voie Petit was first climbed using some aid in 1997 by French superstars, Arnaud Petit and Stefanie Bodet. It follows a line up the east face of the Grand Cap, to the left of the Bonatti route.
