He comes across as a humble and convivial guy. Climbing's equivalent to Bruce Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Jonah Lomu or Usain Bolt; generational talents whose shadow will long outlive their careers.

i always enjoy seeing how much adam ondra still has that raw baseline enthusiasm for climbing despite it having been more than a full time job for him for so long. he somehow managed to keep that amateur’s (in the literal sense) perspective through years of being one of the most severely professional climbers we know.

that’s an enviable super power in its own right.

Just out of curiosity, was this before or after he flashed Lexicon?

It was before, he was heading to the Lake District that evening. If it'd been after we'd definitely have asked him about it :-)
