On the weekend of 18 & 19th March 2017 The Climbing Works International Festival (CWIF) returns for its 11th year. Over the last 10 years The CWIF has established itself as one of the leading climbing competitions with a reputation for big names, big moves & big crowds (both physical & online).

After the fantastic success of partnering with The CWIF to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2016, Rab Equipment will once again be headline sponsor for 2017. The Rab CWIF also returns as a headline event for the second Outdoor City Weekender.

The Rab CWIF has always attracted some of the biggest names in world climbing and the lineup, once again, is looking spectacular for 2017. The Rab CWIF though is much more than just a competition for the elite. At its core, it has always been about inspiring amateur climbers to push their own personal limits. The unique format of The Rab CWIF allows them to climb with, and compete against their heroes on the same problems at the same time - a truly incredible experience and one that is rarely found in any other sporting sphere.

For those unable to compete or attend to watch the Semi-Finals & Final, The CWIF will be webcast on www.thecwif.com on Sunday 19th March 2017.

Sam Whittaker, The Climbing Works Managing Director says: "The CWIF has a global reputation that attracts some of the best climbers in the world to Sheffield. Every year since the beginning it has always produced an incredible event and every year we wonder how we can improve. For 2017, we know The CWIF will be even bigger and better than ever before. The current line-up for the 11th CWIF is truly incredible and we are still expecting more big names to sign up before the big weekend - it will be a climbing competition not to be missed!"
