Thanks for the comments. The picture was taken from the top platform of the Grands Montets after we got back, the approach to the lines was on skis from the col.

I love the way the ski patterns make the shape of a mountain which the figures are climbing. Brilliant.

Which were your lines? I can see two from the top of what looks like a boot-pack, but only one from the skinning track (not that it matters, just tryin to work out what's gone on in the photo).

A very ordinary photo. Is it a ski track fetish thing? A bit like seeing chalk marks and being amazed that someone has actually climbed up there?
