Poor old Vic ... must have reminded him of the good old days on the Ben.

Really like this pic but it's better the other way round and the writing is too distracting.

I don't normally like winter climbing pics but this is amazing!

"Is Vic there?" (youngsters won't understand)
Tim Sparrow - 17/Oct/14
Well it could be anybody really!

by the way this is a variation of the Migot, way out left of the normal line... we were searching for some steeper terrain for photos... found it... plus a lot of spindrift from the upper face!

Turn the shot 180 degrees and remove the watermark (UKC digitally watermark the shots on upload anyway).
Looks like Scotland would if it were sunny!

Yes this would be better without the writing and if it wasn't upside down

Image theft is rife. I fully understand why Ben would want to protect this brilliant image and that way when people re-share it, the work is attributed to him. Digital watermarks just don't cut the mustard. Put it this way...didn't stop it getting to photo of the week and maybe it inspired you to check out his gallery and consider buying an image without the watermark?!

Thanks for your comments folk. I'm afraid the large watermarks are a means of trying to control the image usage a little... it still hasn't stopped some large outdoor companies from using some images without consent and cropping off the watermark! Upside up or upside down is a matter of personal choice I guess... ?!
