I was off early one March to solo both Parsley Fern and one of the Trinity gullies, and Cyrn Las in the morning sunshine never looked better. So many quality routes when the crag is dry and it's not too cold.

No bad for a "mere" crag shot! Superb.

Nice

I first did The Grooves one February - the crag was bone dry, and the temps were fine.

That's by far the best photo I've ever seen of the magnificent Cyrn Las. Seriously, exactly how did you get the photo??

As you start ascending up Sergeant's Gully to the left of the crag, the harsh light of winter and early morning is all you need. Unfortunately most of the time the crag is either in deep shade or cloud.

Thanks for your reply!

In reply to Chris, I have to say that The Grooves is IMO the single best route on the south side of the 'Pass' and very sustained at that grade. Brown at his best!
